Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) is a programming language that is used throughout Microsoft Power BI for creating calculated columns, measures, and custom tables. It is a collection of functions, operators, and constants that can be used in a formula, or expression, to calculate and return one or more values.

  Hey everyone! I recently completed the Subtotal Excel Challenge and wanted to share my solution with you all. The challenge required us to use the Subtotal function in Excel to calculate the subtotal for each category in a table of sales data. After some experimentation and problem-solving, I was able to come up with a solution that involved sorting the data by the category column, selecting the entire range of data, and using the Subtotal function under the "Data" tab. I then customized the appearance of the subtotals using the "Subtotal" tool on the Design tab. Overall, the challenge was a great opportunity to practice using the Subtotal function and learn more about how it can be used to analyze and summarize data in Excel.
